Colin
Having started his Carpentry Trade in 1979 and completing his Clerk of Works in Building later in his career Col is a Master Builder and Owner of Your Style Designer Home Additions. He has worked his entire career in the building industry working as a sub contractor for some of the biggest home builders in Sydney. In 1989 he started Tag Team Constructions a Framing & Roofing Carpentry Company, which quickly became a well known and respected Carpentry Framing Team by many building companies and architects. Col’s understanding and ability to build architecturally complex additions and new homes put him at the forefront of trade expertise with those in the industry. Colin started Your Style Designer Home Additions in 1992 and so began his career as the Northern Beaches and Northern Suburbs ‘The 1st Floor Addition Specialist’. Col has a reputation as one of the best Carpenter Builders on the northern beaches – his eye for detail and the 100s of successful projects he has completed has proven prolific with a significant amount of Your Style’s project work being that of return and referral clients.
Julie
With a background in Office Administration Julie plays a vital role in the day to day operations of this busy building company. Colin and Julie began their building business journey in 1989 with the creation of Tag Team Constructions, a carpentry framing roofing company. In 1992 Your Style Designer Home Additions was born and became the business it is today due to her ‘can do’ attitude which comes through in everything she undertakes for her family, her clients and her business. She is particularly well versed in the Council and Complying Development System and being married to Colin understands building matters as well as most of the trades. Julie has undertaken and passed many of the industry’s building courses during her 27 years in the industry.
Mark
Mark began his building design career at Ultimo Tafe in Architectural Technology in 2006. He then did a Trade Certificate apprenticeship in Cabinet/Furniture making – where he gained an eye for all things practical as well as beautiful. In 2008 Mark came to Your Style and worked with Darren Tye, Architect, in the specialist field of 1st floor addition design. Mark is brilliant with detail and this talent flows through onto his building plans making the whole process of the Build seamless for clients and tradesmen. His use of space in achieving client’s requirements is second to none. Mark’s is always up to the minute on current CDC and DA systems and policies.
Ian
Site Supervisor, started with Your Style in 2010 as a leading hand Carpenter. An excellent tradesmen and well liked by his clients and trades. Ian closely follows products and industry updates to keep well informed on changes and trends. He is an expert on safety and OH&S and keeps clients and sites safe and well looked after. His expertise in the building of 1st floor additions is abundant as there is very little he hasn’t seen or dealt with in regards to the building of home additions. Your Style clients continually say how very happy they were during the build process due to the communication between themselves and Ian.
Gary
Site Supervisor, started with Your Style in 2005. Gary completed his Carpentry trade in 1980 and completed his Clerk of Works to become a Master Builder in 1983. He worked for residential construction companies and 1st floor addition companies in the Sydney metropolitan from 1984 – 2005 when he commenced work with Your Style. Gary brings an enormous amount of experience and knowledge to his sites coupled with his easy going manner is a first class Carpenter Builder. Your Style clients continually praise his knowledge and communication skills in regards to all trades on his site. Luke, Gary’s son, completed his Carpentry trade in 2009 and worked in the 1st floor addition industry with Gary until he commenced work with Your Style in 2010. Luke is a dynamic young carpenter with knowledge and skill learnt whilst working beside his father for the past years.
Chad
Just like his father, Col, has a natural affinity to construction. Winning the wood technology dux award at School in 2009, then went onto complete his Carpentry Apprenticeship Certificate 111 under the watchful eye of Col and the Your Style Carpenters in 2013. In 2014 Chad completed his Building & Construction Certificate IV at the ripe old age of 21 to become a Builder. Chad is a powerhouse carpenter with knowledge and determination to back up his ability. A well liked tradesman by all of Your Style’s trades and clients.
Wade
Commenced his Carpentry Apprenticeship at 14 years old through his School and completed in 2014. Wade works beside his brother Chad and keeps our sites happy with his sense of humour. The heavy lifting is directed to Wade as he is a well built, strong and determined young tradesmen. He is the creative member of the family and comes up with the ‘left field’ ideas which are often quite brilliant and has taught all of us how to think outside the square.
